Smart Cities can contribute to ESG goals by addressing environmental challenges, promoting social equity, and improving governance practices. The goal is to create sustainable, inclusive, and well–governed urban environments that prioritizes the well-being of the people and the planet.
Environmental (E)
AIM will focus on reducing environmental impact by integrating renewable energy sources, smart grids and energy efficient infrastructure to minimize carbon emissions and energy consumption. AIM will also integrate smart transportation systems reducing traffic congestion and accidents, while increasing public safety and promoting alternative modes of transportation such as public transportation, cycling, scooters and walking.
Social (S)
AIM’s intent is to improve the quality of life for the residents while promoting social inclusivity by providing equitable access to public services, transportation, and digital connectivity ensuring the voices of diverse communities regarding needs and preferences are heard. Smart technology and data will improve public safety, emergency response times, and healthcare services benefiting the entire community.
Governance (G)
governance practices will improve through transparent and real-time data-driven decision making by leveraging the AIM infrastructure smart technology to collect, analyze and share data across government agencies resulting in better resource management and policy development.
